40tude is an innovative and already successful charitable organisation that is tackling colon cancer.

Colon cancer is the third most common cancer worldwide (after lung and breast cancer), and the second most common in the UK.  1 in 15 men and 1 in 20 women are at risk of developing colon cancer in the UK, however it is one of the easiest cancers to treat if detected early.

Since 40tude was founded in March 2011 we have raised over £1.2 million to support pioneering research projects at St Mark’s Hospital in Harrow - the world’s first specialist bowel disease hospital - targeted at the early diagnosis and treatment of colon cancer.  40tude curing colon cancer is a registered charity which raises funds and promotes awareness of the importance of being screened early for colon cancer, via a series of events and physical challenges throughout the year.

We achieve results through innovative partnerships with a remarkable group of participants, sponsors, donors and medical specialists.

For an insight in all we have achieved in 2018 and more about our charity’s mission, please take a look at our Year in Review film.

Our Patron

At 40tude, we are proud to have Mr Chris Evans as our founding patron.

Sadly, when Chris was only 13 years old, he lost his own father to colon cancer.  Naturally, Chris is immensely supportive of 40tude's efforts to tackle this disease, and we are very grateful for his support.
