Congratulations to the team of 10 who successfully chased the sun on Saturday!

A big well done to Paul "Cheery" Kelly, Sally "Sick Note" Besley, John "Meldrew" Kinsella, Jonny "Duracell" Aucamp, Adam "You'll never catch me" Smith, Simon "Engine" Lowe, Sam "Cadel" Bevans, Kieth "Typo" Duffy-Penny, Kevin "Thorpedo" Reynard and Karen "Mountain Goat" Middlemass.

They achieved their goal of cycling from the Isle of Sheppey to Weston-super-Mare between sunrise and sunset - with just a minute to spare!  They reached their finish line after 16 hours and 49 minutes in the saddle, 340 kilometres, with “thankfully no blood but certainly a lot of sweat and tears, a number of unwelcome hills and a final exciting charge down Cheddar Gorge," said Jonny.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, helping them to raise over £7,000 so far for 40tude and Cardiac Risk in the Young, in memory of their much-missed friend and fellow cyclist Lee Clements.  Lee was only 49 years old, a super fit man and an amazing person and his death from an undetected heart condition earlier this year was a total shock to everyone.

If you'd like to congratulate the team on their huge achievement it's not too late to make a donation here:

Thank you also to their support crew:  JP, Lucy and Xena for helping them achieve every mile of this massive challenge, and to Chris Combe who joined them on his bike for part of the way!
